Significant assets need more than just physical preservation; they need a structural, digital identity to be ready for the next generation. vountain turns your physical assets into institutionally compatible digital product passports.
Here is your step-by-step guide to onboarding your assets into the vountain app:
- Create an Account: Register in the vountain app and set up your secure profile as an Asset Owner.
- Collect & Digitize Documentation: Gather certificates, invoices, historical records, and current photos.
- Best Practice: Use a clean, neutral background for images (especially the image you would like to use for the thumbnail). Ensure good lighting and high resolution.
- 3D Models: The app fully supports 3D models to showcase your asset.
- Support: If you need professional photography or 3D scans, contact our support team at support@vountain.io. We will connect you with the right experts.
- Create a Draft: Start a new draft. Give your asset a unique name and write a concise summary based on your documents. Highlight special characteristics, historical events, and its unique story. Upload your photos and 3D models to the gallery.
- Identity Verification (KYC): Before you can publish your draft, you must verify your identity. Please complete the KYC process by verifying your name and date of birth with a valid ID. (Note: For the final tokenization process later on, your nationality and residential address will also be required.)
- Publish Early (Optional): You do not have to wait until you have every single document. Click Send for Approval and the vountain team will do a quick review. Once approved, you can Publish your draft early to make it visible to the public while you continue to build its history, before the final token creation. This is useful if you would like to start receiving inquiries right away.
- Add Draft Entries: Document the provenance step by step. Add every important document, restoration, previous owner, or significant event as an individual Draft Entry.
- Send for Verification: Once your digital product passport draft is ready, click Send for Verification (a fee applies). Please ensure you have provided your nationality and residential address, as these are required for tokenization. The vountain team will formally review your entry. Upon successful review, we will mint the actual NFT—the immutable digital identity of your asset on a blockchain. The vountain Team will verify all the information you entered and if the minimum document requirements are met.
- Add Entries to the Asset: Attach all your prepared Draft Entries (your collected documents and events) to the newly tokenized asset.
- Get Entries Verified: For an entry to be publicly displayed as a validated fact, it needs confirmation from at least one Verifier (an independent expert, appraiser, or recognized institution registered with vountain). As the owner, simply use the app to ask the appropriate Verifier for an official validation.
